Chris is the Senior Vice President of Client Relations. He joined Artia, powered by Petauri, in 2021 with more than 17 years of experience in Medicaid administration.

Previously, Chris served state Medicaid pharmacy programs for 17 years in the Magellan Medicaid Administration (MMA) preferred drug list (PDL) program. In 2004, he began as a Clinical Account Manager, with responsibilities including the implementation and daily operation of supplemental rebate and PDL programs for multiple states. This position served as the foundation for his pharmacoeconomic analysis skills that would propel his career with MMA. Chris explained clinical and financial analysis in Pharmacy & Therapeutics (P&T) Committee meetings for over 200 PDL classes on an annual basis and would go on to lead P&T meetings for 17 states. He also contributed to MMA’s library of Therapeutic Class Reviews as a writer and editor.

In 2011, Chris was promoted to Director of Clinical Services for PDL programs at MMA. In this role, he added leadership for the PDL Clinical Account Manager team and responsibility for 15 state customer contracts for PDL services. As Director, Chris developed a number of regular reports that provided market context for both the rebate negotiation team, as well as state customers, that supported PDL recommendations. He took an active role with manufacturers to shape supplemental rebate strategy through clinical analysis and net pricing trends. This work extended into co-author status for the industry’s first trend report from the Medicaid fee-for-service net spend standpoint, the Magellan Rx Management Medicaid Pharmacy Trend Report, from the first edition in 2016 through 2020.

Chris was named Vice President, Account Management in 2017 for MMA’s PDL business line. Under his leadership, MMA’s Medicaid footprint grew to 26 state PDL programs and over 33 million Medicaid recipients. Chris’ Medicaid expertise has been noted in interactions with the Senate Finance Committee, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, and the Congressional Budget Office.

Chad is the Senior Vice President of Drug Launch Services and Clinical Operations. He joined Artia, powered by Petauri, in 2019 with more than 14 years of Medicaid pharmacy benefits service administration experience.

Previously, Chad was the Regional Pharmacy Director at Change Healthcare Medicaid Pharmacy Services Division located in Augusta, Maine. He oversaw eight state accounts that generated more than $15 million in annual revenue. He also worked with the business development team as a subject matter expert developing clinical solutions and cost proposals.

Chad began his career as a community pharmacist, and later held positions such as PA Pharmacist, Clinical Pharmacy Manager, DUR Director, and Regional Pharmacy Manager at Change Healthcare (formerly Goold Health Systems).

Michael is the Vice President of Policy & Strategy. He has worked as an advocate and analyst on health, environmental, and educational policy issues for both the private and public sectors since 1992.

Previously, Michael was the CEO of The Garner Group. Before starting The Garner Group, Michael retired as the Senior Director of Government Relations for Anthem Inc. and its affiliates in Florida. In this role, he was the lead lobbyist responsible for advocating legislative and regulatory policies on a wide range of issues affecting health care coverage, professional and facility regulation, prescription drug pricing and distribution, and health information collection and access for consumers. Michael was also heavily involved in health plan operations, mergers and acquisitions, and participated in developing successful responses to multi-billion-dollar invitations to negotiate/requests for proposals to provide health coverage in Medicaid, Medicare, and Children Health Insurance Programs.

Prior to Anthem, Michael served for many years as the President and CEO of the Florida Association of Health Plans (FAHP), the state trade association for health plans in Florida. He was the industry’s primary advocate, lobbyist, and spokesperson, representing almost 20 health plans serving every health care market in the state, including Commercial, Medicaid, Medicare, Children’s Health Insurance, and the Federal Employee Health Plan.

Michael has worked for the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville establishing a Medicare outpatient reimbursement system; Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida (BCBSFL) as a Senior Policy Analyst and advocate focusing on state and federal health policies including health coverage mandates, mental health parity, civil remedy for HMO liability, and the implementation of the federal Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) of 1996; and started his career in a nonprofit health planning council conducting community healthcare needs assessments and implementing community programs providing prenatal screening and perinatal services for pregnant women and infants.
